Ukulele Cabaret in aid of The Hospice of St Francis
Saturday 16th March 2013
Thanks to all players and the army of volunteers who did such a wonderful job… we all had a great night and raised over £2000 for the Hospice.
Here are some of the group songs:
and the solo or duet songs:
The Hospice of St Francis, whose catchment area includes St Albans, needs to raise 80% of its funding, which amounts to nearly £3m every year. If we can sell 100+ tickets, raise more money through a raffle on the night and keep food and other costs to a minimum, this event could raise over £1,000, which would be a fine achievement.
And a BIG THANK-YOU to local businesses who have donated prizes for the raffle:
A mixed case of wine from Cellar Door Wines of London Road, St Albans.
A meal for four at Hemel’s finest Indian restaurant, The Pepper Hut, in the Old High Street, Hemel Hempstead.
A Makalo beginner’s soprano ukulele with electronic tuner and gig-bag, donated by The Music Department, London Road, St Albans.
