We were delighted to welcome Manitoba Hal to St Albans, he gave an inspirational workshop and performance, take a look.
‘She’s not there’ is 50! The song was first played by Rod Argent to the rest of The Zombies on 29th April 1964 at the Market Hall, St Albans. It went on to reach No 12 in the UK singles charts, and became their biggest hit.
On Saturday 3rd May 2014, we marked this anniversary by playing the song, on around 20 ukuleles at the Courtyard Café on Hatfield Road, just a stones throw from The Blacksmith’s Arms where the The Zombies first met.
