Here’s an interesting presentation by the New York Times about two women Country Blues singers, who recorded a total of six songs, and then to all intents disappeared.
This presentation follows the research into these two artists to try and find what happened to them after they disappeared, and reflects on the influence their music had on following generations.http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/04/13/magazine/blues.html
